The Main Component Exchange Technician will in its role be responsible to carry out as well as support all exchanges which are conducted in its area. By being part of the team that carries out the exchanges the Main Component Exchange Technician will contribute to a safe and effective execution of the exchanges, including fulfillment of required reporting. To ensure all necessary special tools are at hand for the main component exchanges the Main Component Exchange Technician is together with the team responsible for the handling of such tools. Even contributing to building new tools or improving the existing once on a workshop level as well as development or improvement of exchange procedures is part of the position. You will be based at your home and mainly work out on different sites in the Nordic region for up to three weeks in a row, on occasion in the warehouse preparing tooling for the exchanges or in your home completing admin tasks.YOUR TASKS

Carrying out and support of main component exchanges

- Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbinee.g. tightening of the gearbox shrink disc

Main component exchange tools support

- Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop or containere.g. pack and prepare a gearbox exchange container which includes manual handling of the tools in the container

Lifting supervision on assigned main components

- Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbinee.g. attaching the lifting equipment to a new gearbox before lifting it into the nacelle

Handling of unforeseen issues during main component exchanges

- Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbinee.g. removing a stuck brake disc shrink disc using and angular grinder

Support with the development, improvement and testing of exchange procedures

- Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbinee.g. during an exchange test to safe time using electrical torqueing tools instead of hydraulic once

Support with ensuring availability and calibration/re-certification of tools

- Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop or containere.g. re-certification of gearbox bridge by lifting it out of the container and perform load test

Support with the development, improvement and testing of special tools

- Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop and work in the turbinee.g. join a first time exchange to see need for special tools and manufacture and test prototypes

Ensuring safety and quality on site during main component exchanges

- Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop and work in the turbinee.g. re-certify the lifting slings by physically checking them and place them in an exchange container

Supporting main component exchange planner

- Mainly but not limited to desktop taskse.g. checking and confirming lifting plans

Supporting acquisition of special tools

- Mainly but not limited to desktop taskse.g. source and test applicable tools

Reporting

- Mainly but not limited to desktop taskse.g. reporting times in SAP

Support with the creation of risk assessments and method statements for main component exchanges

- Mainly but not limited to desktop taskse.g. in collaboration with the team give expert knowledge to HSE department so they can create RAMS, on the job do last minute risk assessmentsYOUR PROFILEEducation and Qualifications:

Mechanical education
Wind turbine technician course
Slinger Banksman Training
Computer and software handling
A valid EU driver's license is required for this position.
The position requires either living in Finland or being open to permanent relocation to Finland, as it is a Finnish contract that complies with Finnish regulations, laws, and taxes.
The position is project-based and requires on-site presence. The work schedule may vary depending on project needs, workload, and deadlines.
The compensation package for this position includes a fixed monthly salary, possible overtime pay, and daily allowances.
Enjoy travelling because working on site will require nights away from home.

Experience:

Several years' experience with working on wind turbines
Must be Health and Safety aware
On site handling of lifting operations and mobile cranes
Practical on site main component exchange experience
Hydraulic and electric torque tool handling
